Save Santa's Workshop · For the host
Tonight, your home is Santa's workshop — and it has gone dark. The machines are still, the sleigh won't wake, and the First Bell of Christmas is silent. This document holds the ten object cards that will bring it back. The hunt is a trail: each recovered object gives up the clue to the next, and ringing the Bell — found last — saves Christmas. Your part takes fifteen minutes and a printer:
| №1 | The Workshop Map | “Every rescue starts with a map. Look where flat, folded things sleep — tucked between the pages of a book.” Hide it: Folded inside a book, an atlas, or a board game box. |
| №2 | The Unopened Letter | “The map marks the mail room. A letter there was never opened — look where letters wait: a mailbox, a tray, a shelf of books.” Hide it: In or near real mail — a mailbox, a letter tray, tucked between books. |
| №3 | The Gingerbread Scout | “The letter smells of peppermint… someone in the kitchen knows more. Find the scout, near jars and oven mitts.” Hide it: The kitchen, obviously — a cookie jar, a mixing bowl, beside the oven mitts. |
| №4 | The Workshop Blueprint | “The scout saw the machines stop. You need Tinsel's blueprint — look where tools and pencils live.” Hide it: Rolled up or flat on a desk, table, or workbench — anywhere tools or pencils live. |
| №5 | The Finished Gift | “The blueprint shows the wrapping room. One finished gift survived — look among boxes, baskets, and bows.” Hide it: In plain sight among other wrapped or boxed things — under a tree, on a gift table, in a basket. |
| №6 | The Workshop Badge | “To go further you must join the watch. A badge waits near the door — by the coats and hooks.” Hide it: By the front door or a coat hook — where a guard would stand watch. |
| №7 | The North Star Compass | “Now you stand watch. The compass fell in the sleigh hangar — look up high, near a window, where stars would be.” Hide it: High up, like a star — a shelf, a windowsill, the top of a bookcase (within safe reach). |
| №8 | The Sleigh Key | “The needle points to Santa's desk. The Sleigh Key hides where keys always hide — a drawer, a pocket, a bowl by the door.” Hide it: Where keys hide in real life — a drawer, a coat pocket, a bowl by the door. |
| №9 | The Golden Ornament | “The sleigh can fly — but the great tree is dark. Find the Golden Ornament near branches, or hanging where the light catches.” Hide it: On or near your tree, or hanging somewhere unexpected — a doorknob, a lamp. |
| №10 | The First Bell of Christmas | “One thing remains. The First Bell sleeps somewhere low and warm, where an animal might rest. Find it — and ring Christmas back.” Hide it: Somewhere warm and low, near where an animal might sleep — under a chair, by the dog's bed, beside a stuffed animal. |
The Bell is last, and it's Legendary. Hide it best — ringing it is the finale, and whoever finds it will remember where.
